Welcome to our web site. You should find everything you want to know about our cattery here. If not, please feel free to contact us by email or phone. BluesCats is located in the coastal area of Maine. We are a small cattery specializing in the "old style" Siamese cat, also known as the "Applehead". Kittens are raised under foot and are pre-spoiled for your convenience. We raise these kittens because we love the breed, not for profit. BluesCats is registered with the CFA, TICA & ACA.
Our cattery is FIV/FELV negative. Before going to their new homes our kittens will have had 2 vaccinations and have been dewormed. When possible, our kittens will be spayed/neutered prior to leaving the cattery or the buyer will sign a spay/neuter contract. Kittens are vet checked and are guaranteed to be healthy at the time of purchase. Buyer is responsible for taking kitten to their vet within 72 hours of purchase and delivery. If any serious health problems are found, the buyer is to inform BluesCats immediately. BluesCats will replace any kitten found to have a genetic defect as long as it is proven by a licensed veterinarian within the kitten's first year. All kittens are sold with a written contract. Kittens are NOT to be given the FIP vaccination or the contract is null and void. When buyer takes their new kitten home it is highly recommended that the kitten be isolated for a period of 10 days. This is to allow the kitten time to adjust to their new environment.
Our kittens are sold strictly as pets. They must be kept as indoor cats only. BluesCats is against declawing and the buyer will sign a no declaw contract. BluesCats will take back any kitten/cat before we would want our kitten/cat to go to an animal shelter or pet store. Buyer may return kitten/cat at any time (at buyers expense) as long as the kitten/cat is vet checked prior to coming back to BluesCats. We will then place the kitten/cat in a loving home. Each kitten will go to their new home with a "care package" with helpful information as to what type of kitten food your kitten is eating, what type of litter your kitten is used to and basic kitten care.
